Whereabouts: lost in Terézváros

Cornell University (2013): Departments of History and Government

Semester at CEU (2012): Master’s Program in the Department of History

Interests: Post-Soviet transitions in Eastern Europe and the Caucasus, the politics and culture of violence, electoral and constitutional politics, urban topographies through political change

From far above Cayuga’s waters to slightly east of the Danube’s, I’ve dusted off more than four thousand miles to spend a semester at Central European University in Budapest. Herein lie my scribbles about living in Hungary, studying at CEU, and poking my nose into post-communist spaces.

  2. Hey Elen. Cool blog! It’s always great to read about other people’s travelling experiences. On our website we normally publish stories and articles about hitch-hiking and travelling so if you any story you would like to be seen by a wider audience (with a link to your blog of course). This is how we do it: http://hitchhikershandbook.com/your-contributions/travel-stories/ Drop us a line if you are interested.
    Happy travels!
